Principal's Message

December 1, 2014

Dear Parents, Families and Students,

It's good to be at Washington!  This is my first year as principal at this school and I have been nothing but impressed with the staff, students and families.  Our teachers are life-long learners, wanting to provide the best education possible to your kids.  They soak up new information on current teaching techniques to improve their craft.  The support staff, such as assistants, custodians and office workers, care about the kids, making sure they are safe and healthy.  We have a new leadership in our Parent Booster Club, making for a strong parent group that supports our efforts.

Washington is a caring environment where the people have a strong sense of community.  We are Washington and we are glad to be here to serve you.    So, as you browse through the site and notice that there is information that you wish was available, please call the school and let us know.  Our goal at Washington is to be a family's one-stop shop for all questions regarding your child's education and the Medford School District.  If we don't have the answer, we will do the research to help you navigate our school system.

I look forward to this new adventure, and hope to meet you all.

Sallie Johnson
